Artist & Creative Technologist

Immersive systems, drone choreography and responsive digital experiences.

About

Anthony Head is a UK-based artist and creative technologist working across immersive systems, drone choreography, projection, simulation and responsive digital environments.

His work explores audience interaction, collective behaviour and emergent experience through real-time media, interactive systems and computational art.

Practice

Alongside drone choreography, his practice spans projection mapping, immersive environments, XR, public installations and generative audiovisual systems.

Working primarily with Unity and C#, he develops custom tools and workflows that combine animation, procedural systems and real-time interaction.

Anthony previously led animation and simulation development at the drone show company Celestial, designing large-scale drone performances and developing bespoke creative tools used in internationally award-winning shows.

Background

Before focusing fully on independent practice, Anthony spent 18 years in higher education, becoming Professor of Computer Art and founding a BA Digital Animation degree course.

His work has been presented through exhibitions, festivals, research projects and public-facing installations in the UK and internationally.
